The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) congratulates the newly elected National and Branch leaders following the successful conclusion of the Union’s electoral process and the official declaration of results by the Independent Electoral Committee (IEC).
The elections mark another important milestone in KMPDU’s democratic journey, reaffirming the Union’s commitment to constitutional governance, transparency, and member participation. Through a robust electoral process refined over the years, doctors across the country have exercised their democratic right to choose leaders who will champion their welfare and advance the interests of the profession.
The Newly Elected National Officials
Following the official announcement of results, the members have elected the following National Office Bearers:
Secretary General Elect: Dr. Davji Atellah
National Chairman Elect: Dr. Abidan Mwachi
National Treasurer Elect: Dr. Mercy Nabwire
Deputy Secretary General Elect: Dr. Dennis Miskellah
Deputy National Chairman Elect: Dr. Kahura Mundia
Deputy National Treasurer Elect: Dr. Renoh Omoro
These leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the Union through the next phase of its journey as KMPDU continues advocating for better working conditions, implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements, improved healthcare systems, and the welfare of doctors across Kenya.
Ratification at the Annual Delegates Conference
In accordance with the KMPDU Constitution, the elected leaders will be formally ratified during the Annual Delegates Conference (ADC) in May 2026, marking the official transition into office and the commencement of their respective terms of service.
