The Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union-KMPDU has opposed the implementation of the newly enacted Social Health Insurance Fund Act. The medical practitioners’ union says the act will disenfranchise civil servants and their dependents from access to health care, and takes away the right to health care, and is in contravention of a collective signing agreement agreed upon by civil servants in 2011.
