KMPDU Leadership Induction 2026: Preparing for Service, Strengthening the Mandate

We have officially concluded the 2026 Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Leadership Induction for our newly elected National and Branch officials.

This was more than an orientation exercise. It was a deliberate moment of reflection, learning, and preparation for the weighty responsibility that comes with leading a professional union of doctors.

Through structured engagements on labour history, strategic leadership, governance frameworks, fiduciary responsibility, and collective bargaining, the incoming leadership has been equipped to step into office with a clearer understanding of their duty: to defend the welfare of doctors and strengthen the Union.

As we proceed to the Annual Delegates Conference for formal ratification, one message stands firm—KMPDU remains united, focused, and ready for the work ahead.

Our commitment is unwavering: stronger Collective Bargaining Agreements, full implementation of existing agreements, protection of doctors’ rights, and a healthcare system that upholds dignity for every Kenyan.

The energy throughout the induction was strong. The solidarity was unmistakable. The mission continues.

In Solidarity Forever.

Dr. Davji Atellah
Secretary General, KMPDU
