KMPDU NYANZA BRANCH AGM – REGIONAL PROGRESS AND SOLIDARITY

The KMPDU Nyanza Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) comes on the heels of major regional engagements, including the Siaya County Doctors’ Strike negotiations, the Homa Bay CBA Implementation and Monitoring Committee Meeting, and the Kisii County Return to Work Formula (RTWF) Implementation.

Each of these processes secured critical commitments, including:

  • Budget reviews to facilitate promotions and redesignations,

  • Activation of medical insurance covers for doctors,

  • Approval of study leave for postgraduate training, and

  • Rollout plans for new doctor recruitment across counties.

Beyond fulfilling a constitutional mandate, this AGM served as a vital forum to address pressing regional issues affecting doctors and to reinforce our unwavering commitment to the full implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).

KMPDU remains steadfast in ensuring that doctors’ rights, welfare, and professional growth are prioritized across all counties.
