NYAMIRA COUNTY DOCTORS’ STRIKE CALL OFF
Following a mutual agreement between the KMPDU Nyanza Branch leaders and the County Government of Nyamira the ongoing Doctors’ strike in Nyamira has been called off.
Today, KMPDU Nyanza Branch leaders had the last sitting with the County Government of Nyamira as pertains to Doctors’ Strike. They were able to agree on most of Doctors’ demands with definitive timelines as indicated in the RTWF attached below. H.E. the governor affirmed his commitment towards implementing the RTWF to the latter. The Nyanza BEC, appreciates you all doctors for exercising your employment RIGHTS by expressing your disgruntle with your employer. The committee also recognizes the negotiating team, including Dr. Machugo Ben and Dr. Ogindo Eric, for their support and availability throughout the negotiation process.
The governor has invited all doctors for a social meeting. The day , date and time will be communicated soon.
Consequently, we are glad to announce that the industrial action is CALLED OFF.
