Marching Towards Progress: Empowering Kenya’s Healthcare Future
On 12th September, as KMPDU , we want to express our deep appreciation to all doctors and concerned Kenyans who gathered in solidarity to make this day a resounding success. The collective effort and determination displayed during our Peaceful Procession for a #Healthier Kenya have not gone unnoticed. We stand together as a united front, advocating for change in a healthcare system that urgently needs reform. We are grateful for the unwavering support of all those who lent their voices to this cause, and we want to assure you that your voices were heard.
We successfully delivered our petition to both the MOH_Kenya and the Kenya Governors. This achievement marks a significant step forward in our ongoing battle to address the unemployment crisis among medical graduates and the broader healthcare challenges facing our nation.
However, this is just the beginning. Our journey to reforming the healthcare system in Kenya is a marathon, not a sprint. We must remain steadfast in our commitment to bringing about lasting change. We will continue to engage with relevant authorities, advocate for policies that ensure equal opportunities for medical professionals, and push for improvements in healthcare infrastructure and working conditions.
We believe that every Kenyan has the right to quality healthcare, and we are determined to make this a reality. Let’s harness the momentum from today’s successful procession and channel it into tangible actions that will lead to a brighter future for our healthcare system. Together, we can overcome the challenges that stand in our way and build a healthier, more equitable Kenya. Thank you for being a part of this vital movement.
Finally We want to thank the CS,Madam Nakhumicha Susan for personally coming from her office to receive the petition, this act forms a firm foundation upon which we can anchor the talks for a better healthcare for all Kenyans, our challenge is for the Governors to also see the union as social partners and not enemies….. For the Union makes us strong.
Viva KMPDU!
