KMPDU Engages Marsabit County Leadership to Resolve Doctors’ Welfare Concerns

MARSABIT: November 25, 2025

KMPDU held a constructive meeting with the Marsabit County Government, led by H.E. Governor Mohamud Mohamed Ali, to address the ongoing impasse affecting the welfare and working conditions of doctors across the county.

During the engagement, the union outlined several longstanding issues of concern and held extensive discussions with county leadership on the most practical and time-bound modalities for resolving them. Both parties acknowledged the urgent need for stability in the health sector and committed to fast-tracking solutions that will safeguard the rights, safety, and welfare of doctors while restoring smooth service delivery.

We are now finalizing the outstanding details in preparation for a binding agreement that reflects the commitments discussed. As a union, KMPDU has always insisted that every agreement signed must translate into concrete action. We remain unwavering in ensuring that this upcoming agreement is implemented fully, transparently, and without delay.

We extend our appreciation to our members in Marsabit for their steadfastness, unity, and confidence in the union’s collective efforts.

Solidarity forever.
