Software Engineer, Digital Health Strategist

Kevin Oyowe is an experienced Health Informatics and IT Software Engineer specializing in the design and development of practical, scalable digital health solutions. He has successfully led high-impact health technology projects across Kenya and the United States, including the HITSystem, CATSystem, and the Kenya National Cancer Registry (KNCR). Currently, he serves as the Lead Programmer at Global Health Innovations, where he oversees the development of critical digital health infrastructure.

In addition to his technical work, Kevin is a strong advocate for the rights and welfare of healthcare workers in Kenya, actively contributing to digital transformation efforts and issue-based advocacy for doctors.

He is also an active contributor to healthcare research and data-driven publications, with a strong focus on leveraging mobile and AI technologies to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Kevin is a regular contributor in the OpenMRS community and completed a Medical Research Exchange Program at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

His professional journey also includes key roles at CHS Kenya and KEMRI-FACES, where he played a pivotal role in health information systems strengthening, data systems integration, and program-scale analytics; experiences that continue to inform his holistic approach to public health informatics.
