ETERNAL VIGILANCE ✊🏾

Beyond our historic victory, which secured the payment of doctors’ salary arrears, promotions, an expanded doctor workforce, unlocked post-graduate training programs, and ensured the payment of interns’ salaries as per the 2017 CBA, KMPDU convened its National Executive Council (NEC) and National Advisory Council (NAC) meetings. These gatherings reaffirmed the union’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of our members. This milestone reflects the power of solidarity and relentless advocacy in advancing the interests of Kenyan doctors.

While this victory is significant, the battle for improved working conditions continues. Persistent challenges—such as delayed promotions in certain counties and gaps in medical cover—highlight the need for sustained engagement with the employer. These issues affect not just the professional growth of doctors but also the quality of healthcare delivery to Kenyans.

KMPDU remains resolute in its pursuit of justice and equity, driven by the conviction that no member should be left behind. Our collective strength lies in eternal vigilance, and through continued unity, we will confront emerging challenges head-on, ensuring that the gains made are protected and that the fight for better working conditions endures.
