KMPDU 2nd NAC Meeting of 2026

KMPDU Holds Second National Advisory Council Meeting of 2026 to Review Progress and Set Priorities

NAIVASHA: Oct 17, 2026

The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) has held its Second National Advisory Council (NAC) meeting of 2026, bringing together branch representatives from across the country to deliberate on issues affecting the Union and its members.

The meeting provided an important platform for reviewing progress on resolutions adopted during the May 2026 Annual Delegates Conference (ADC), addressing outstanding matters and identifying priorities to guide the Union’s work in the months ahead.

Reviewing ADC Resolutions and Outstanding Matters

A key focus of the meeting was assessing the progress made in implementing resolutions adopted at the Annual Delegates Conference. The discussions provided an opportunity for branch representatives to review progress, raise matters requiring further attention and contribute to deliberations on the issues affecting doctors across the country.

The NAC remains an important forum for bringing branch perspectives into national-level discussions, strengthening coordination within the Union and ensuring that members’ concerns inform KMPDU’s priorities and decisions.

Strengthening the Union’s 2026–2031 Mandate

As KMPDU advances its 2026–2031 leadership mandate, the Union remains focused on building a stronger, more responsive and accountable organisation that effectively represents doctors across Kenya.

This commitment includes listening to branches, prioritising doctors’ welfare and safeguarding the rights and professional interests of every member. Sustained engagement between national leadership and branch representatives will remain essential to addressing members’ concerns and translating agreed resolutions into meaningful action.

A United Union Focused on Members

The Second NAC meeting reinforces the importance of collective leadership and active participation by branches in shaping the direction of the Union. By reviewing progress, addressing outstanding matters and setting priorities together, KMPDU seeks to strengthen its ability to respond to the needs of its members.

As the new leadership term progresses, the Union remains committed to advancing doctors’ welfare, protecting their rights and ensuring that the voices of members from every branch continue to shape its work.

A stronger KMPDU is built through collective leadership, accountability and action. Our commitment remains to safeguard the rights and interests of every doctor and ensure that no member is left behind.
