Five Years of Unity: Eldoret Doctors Reaffirm Their Commitment to the Profession

KMPDU recently held a meaningful engagement with the Eldoret Doctors’ Baraza la Wazee, bringing together experienced members of the profession to reflect on a journey defined by unity, resilience, and collective advocacy.

The meeting provided an opportunity to look back on five years of shared struggles and hard-earned victories that have strengthened both the Union and the profession. Through solidarity and unwavering commitment, doctors have continued to defend their rights, advance fair labour practices, and contribute to the strengthening of Kenya’s healthcare system.

The discussions were marked by a shared sense of purpose and optimism. Members reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values of professionalism, dignity, and justice while supporting the next generation of doctors through mentorship, experience, and continued engagement.

As healthcare continues to evolve, KMPDU recognizes the invaluable role played by senior doctors in preserving institutional memory, guiding advocacy efforts, and shaping the future of the profession. Their experience remains an important pillar in building a stronger, more united medical fraternity.

KMPDU remains steadfast in its mission to protect the welfare of doctors, strengthen healthcare systems, and advocate for policies that promote quality patient care. The spirit demonstrated during the Eldoret Baraza la Wazee serves as a reminder that meaningful progress is achieved when doctors stand together with a common purpose.

United by experience, driven by purpose, and committed to a stronger future for doctors and healthcare in Kenya. Mbele Pamoja.
