Public sector service unions peaceful procession

On Monday, the 29th of May 2023, united as public sector service unions, we took to the streets in a peaceful procession towards Parliament. With determination and solidarity, we delivered our petitions addressing pressing concerns, including the controversial 3% housing levy, proposed NHIF increase, and other tax hikes. Our aim? To protect the rights and welfare of hardworking public sector employees.
We marched to ensure that workers’ voices were heard loud and clear. The proposed housing levy and tax increase significantly impact our members, their families, and their livelihoods. We demand fair and transparent decision-making processes that consider the workforce’s well-being.
Together, we stand against unjust burdens placed upon workers. We advocate for equitable solutions that balance the needs of the government with the rights of its dedicated public servants. Our peaceful procession symbolizes our unwavering commitment to fighting for workers’ rights and holding those in power accountable.
Now, more than ever, it is crucial for all stakeholders to come together in meaningful dialogue and find sustainable resolutions.
